Gun-Shy was my alternative title to a song I was hearing played out in a Frazier Chorus “Cloud 8” style, with an edge maybe like that coming from Every Good Boy or Supercollider on the Emigre label. The title attempted to relate the positivity of the chorus:
Look into the new morning,
Listen for the day dawning
Restless in your sleepy head,
Put away your cares to bed
with the double-cross meaning of becoming “gun-shy” when one too many bad things have happened to you and you begin to fear event the most ordinary of events.
