It started out on the first day of Summer ’83, as Right, and extended the base of All of These Lines, with the added claustrophobia (Get out of my mind, no telephone to get through, a room with no doors or windows, nothing to do). In retrospect, it’s a very dated song, about involuntary mind control, based very much upon the sound stylings of British synth artist from the early mid-80’s like Gary Numan and Pete Shelley, whom I by now desperately wanted to be as good as.
