Dog on Ecstasy was a song I did much later that year (Dec. 29, actually) about a girl who became like this dog on a happy drug that all the kids were taking between ’88 and ’90 in the clubs. I wanted to get an anti-drug message through. The samples of dogs barking in time to the acid house beat was an amusing aspect. The first version of this emerged from the original version of Flat House.
“Dog on Ecstasy” is basically just about watching a good friend fall into something you deem avoidable.
