I became very interested in doing an entirely acoustic project with just songs, and me singing them, during the months of July and August 1990. I wanted to see if I could whip something simple together really quick, that would be just me, a guitar, and a little drum box playing together as an “unplugged” variation.
The lyrics to Red Herrings are based upon my short story “Long, Lost…” and are directly inspired by Cyndy W… A bittersweet and modern reflection upon a situation long since past.
