The night I saw “Return of the Jedi” in ’83, I accompanied John, Mike, Maureen, and Chris. My feelings of attraction to Chris were apparently attracting Maureen away from Mike, as I later found out. As I sat next to Chris in the dark theater, the lyrics to this song came instantly. This song is based on that fateful day. It is also interesting due to its unconventional time signature of 4/4 – 2/4 – 3/4 – 3/4. The first recording came about July ’83.
