Based on a series of riffs suggested by early Echo and the Bunnymen, by June ’86 I was really thinking of The Burden as a specific person, whom I suppose was getting in my way. This was knocked out pretty fast, but it took forever (until Oct. ’88) to assemble all the pieces and sections and get it to work properly.
