Part of this began in Nov. ’84, but the bulk of it was one of my college-era songs (March 18, ’86) written for Annette, whom I was desperately making a play for, nearly to the point of madness. The song came about after being with her one day, and when I realized from the way she talked that she was nothing more than an, albeit beautiful, manipulatress of men.
