I came up with this instrumental piece (Subtle Noise No. 5) on acoustic guitar while at a house party at John Matthew’s. I was a particularly anti-social mood that day and remember hiding away in his practice room all evening, working on this song in sections while John repeatedly snuck away to grab snacks for the both of us.
It came from this weird period where I felt I should be influenced by Led Zeppelin or something; it wasn’t very convincing to me, actually, it just got me to practice on my acoustic guitar a lot more.
